For the Freedom of Religion

But a Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored.
Liberty, once lost, is lost forever.
John Adams, letter to Abigail Adams, July 17, 1775

1.  Scripture states that There is no one righteous, not even one.

This tells us that there is not, nor will there ever be, a "perfect" candidate.  Some candidates are better than others but, say it with me, there is no perfect candidate.

2.  No matter who is elected we know we are to seek the peace and prosperity of our city and pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, we too will prosper.

If we elect someone who will enable us to live our lives without extreme over-regulation WE the PEOPLE will be able to make the changes that our country needs.  As 1 Timothy 2:1-2 says, "I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness."

3.  We are not electing a Pastor Of The United States, but a President Of The United States.

Yes, Romney is a Mormon.  Which matters more when electing a president; where he goes to church on Sunday, or how he lives his life every day of the week?

4.  Jesus did not come to overthrow the government but to save the people.

Joseph -Egypt
Daniel  -Babylon
Esther  -Persia
Paul     -Appeals to Caesar as a Roman citizen.

"These biblical heroes were asked to work for the good of others in the confines of often-hostile government leadership. Yet God did not ask them to overthrow or only support believing leadership."  -Source  (Emphasis mine.)

5. I have heard it said, " If we vote in a moderate, everyone will go back to sleep.  Four more years of the current path will make sure everyone is vigilant."

This is just the WORST argument for voting third party that I have ever heard.  If you have a candidate that you love that is third party by all means vote for that person, but there is a big difference between "pinch me" to make sure I'm awake and "let's all shoot ourselves in the foot to make sure we're all awake".  In that case we would all be awake for sure, but we would also be lame.

In America we have something that other countries throughout history have not had.  We have power to vote.  If we do not vote out an administration that has been hostile to Christianity are we not testing that God will not destroy the righteous with the wicked?

According to the evidence presented by David Barton of WallBuilders President Obama is America's most biblically-hostile U.S. President.

Although I don't always agree with Pastor Rick Warren, he states here that Christians should not apologize for voting in line with the Bible.  I believe that social issues should constitutionally be left up to the states, but he makes some good points in this article.

God and Jerusalem have been points of contention in this year's Democratic National Convention.  First there was no mention of God in the DNC platform, then there was an uproar, then it was reinstated amidst a divided crowd.

This blog post explains how Jerusalem has scripturally become a stumbling block to the Democratic Party and President Obama.

Just two days ago the White House reportedly declined Netanyahu's request to meet with President Obama.  This should make us very uneasy since we know that, speaking of Israel, Genesis 12: 3 says, "I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse..."

In summary:

It is ok to vote for someone who doesn't believe everything that you believe (politically or spiritually), but it is very unwise to vote for someone who will restrict your ability to live as the Bible dictates.  Please look at the difference between the Republican and Democrat platforms.  There is a huge difference between the two candidates and if you do not vote you are still responsible for the outcome of this election.  Do not re-elect the most biblically-hostile President by omission.  Please, if you have not registered to vote, do so today.  If you have not sought out the differences between the two candidates please do so today.  There is no perfect candidate, but there IS a difference between the two men running for the office of President.  May God save our country as we vote according to His word.
